Changebot is an AI-powered platform that automates internal product communication for software teams. By integrating with product development tools (e.g., GitHub), Changebot helps organizations generate clear, timely, and structured updates for internal teams such as product operations, marketing, and customer success.

Scope of Services

Changebot currently provides the following services:

  • Automated Changelogs: Monitors code repositories and summarizes changes into easy-to-digest internal updates.
  • Context Awareness: Builds an evolving understanding of the company's product and systems to generate increasingly accurate messaging over time.
  • Delivery Integrations: Supports distribution of updates via Slack, email, and internal documentation tools.

Features

  • GitHub integration: Automatically ingests PRs, commits, and releases
  • Summary generation: Converts raw changes into human-readable summaries
  • Slack delivery: Sends product updates to team channels or individuals
  • Manual editing: Users can review and edit generated updates before publishing
  • Activity filtering: Users can choose which types of activity to include (e.g., code only, docs)
  • Audit trail: Maintains logs of updates sent and who received them

Limitations

  • Changebot currently supports GitHub as the primary data source. Support for other tools (e.g., Jira, Linear) is in development.
  • Automated summaries are machine-generated and may require review for accuracy.
  • Delivery integrations are limited in the current version.

Availability

Standard availability is 24/7 excluding scheduled maintenance.

Data Handling

  • Changebot processes metadata and content from integrated product tools (e.g., commit messages, diffs, PR titles.)
  • All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • Changebot does not store source code or sensitive business logic beyond the generated summaries used to write updates.

Change Management

Service descriptions are reviewed quarterly or when a significant change is released. Customers are notified of any major updates via email.
